WELCOME TO A NEW ERA AT DEVIL'S SILENCE

You might have never been here before,  you might have played here since 1997 when we opened, you might be a hardcore player, or you might just come on to chat with your
buddies and flame from a safe room.

You might know what spurred me to want a whole new mud, basicaly, or you might not.  It doesn't matter, this is a new start.  

For the last eight months, the Devil's Silence immortal staff has been working on this version of the mud.  We have put in countless hours of blood, sweat and tears.  We have worked when we didn't feel like working, we have molded and meshed.  

A pwipe is not something we do lightly.  We decided it was best to have a new start with the new code.  The only way I would even consider a pwipe is if there were enough new and awesome stuff to warrant it, and there is.

Some of the new features of Devil's Silence include:
-Revamped and new classes (more are still in the works!
-New races separated by alignment
-No stock areas and a new hometown named Solennir (http://www.dsmud.com/solennir.html for a map - yes we know it's ugly)
-Less areas (less places to hide, easier to find victims)
-Exciting new skills, spells and commands
-Lootable Quest Equipment
-Exciting new clan code:  clans are created online
-New weapon flags
-New stats:  Luck and Charisma
-Equipment has been rebalanced (also read help connect)
-Racial skills
-PK records & PKPoints for heroes

I could go on and on, what I've listed is just the tip of the iceburg.  There are tons of changes and many surprises waiting for you to find.  We hope you enjoy our new code, we certainly have had fun creating it.
