This is a discussion on "Unique Request" in the Top Mud Sites Advertising for Players forum : Currently I am thrilled to be involved in the alpha testing period of the re-opening of "Dark Castle". I could not be happier and content at my current gaming home, however I have a request for certain times in the evening when the game is down for unknown reasons, or I need a break from the great world of DC... I would like to play a game that while, offers a player versus player challenge however does not require any character development. Basically I am looking for a text based version of such strategy games as Tribes ... |

I could not be happier and content at my current gaming home, however I have a request for certain times in the evening when the game is down for unknown reasons, or I need a break from the great world of DC...
I would like to play a game that while, offers a player versus player challenge however does not require any character development. Basically I am looking for a text based version of such strategy games as Tribes or Starcraft. I would love to be able to join a intrigueing and challenging game without having to spend months creating a character. And while I realize I could just pop in my Starcraft disc, I simply enjoy text based games and the less lag they offer!  Soooo any suggestions - appreciate I would... |

There was talk about good purepk muds, but I can't find it now. But I know of two.
Land of Chaos- Oddity of oddities, someone on Starcraft told me about this. Some of the classes are 'overpowered', but its really just A beats B, B beats C, C beats A, kind of thing. I've taken out dragons with my titan while eternals slaughter me. It takes 4 hours to get a character to full wannabe power (wannabe meaning as good as you can get without pk'ing anyone yet) Ground Zero- Now, there's not an extreme amount of people on here, but it is a game where you can pick up a gun off the floor and shoot someone immediately. Its a little different, hard to understand, and as I said, not many players. It revolves a lot around strategy, (throwing grenades, bombing from planes) rather than brute force. Obviously, the NPCs are better at this than me as I kept dying... But, there's gotta be ways to search, I think PurePK is a theme, or you could do a TMS database search on it... |
