For a long time, Karinth has been one of the largest MUDs out there, in terms of sheer number of rooms. With 6 million and counting, not even the most dedicated explorer can come to know all of them, giving years of enjoyment to those who thrive on charting new lands. Players can either explore our carefully designed and reviewed areas, or strike out into the unknown and meet wild creatures in the vast wilderness.
Now, this latest change has meant that many creatures you encounter in the wilderness will be adapted to prove a challenge to you, whatever level you may be. This not only allows for perhaps one of the largest leveling areas ever seen on any MUD, but means that it is possible to simply venture out into untamed lands and enjoy a battle personalised for you and your traveling companions, with a flexibility never seen before. Karinth has always been about the player, and now this is true to an even greater degree. Come and discover this for yourself, and Become the Legend. |

As a side-note, I have a lot of respect for Fern's running of Karinth, and the MUD's determination to create an incredibly expansive world.
