The Turning Point MUD would like to announce the launch of our revamped "School for New Players". The new School provides a detailed, 3-branch system for gathering a ton of information about TP MUD, to help you decide if it's the game for you, and to help you learn as much as possible before entering the IC world. We feel that this School really takes traditional "Glades" a step further, and we hope it will draw people into the game, helping them understand what TP MUD is all about.

What makes the School particularly interesting are the culturally-specific shops. These shops are designed to outfit players with unique garb, based on where they're from. We've added approximately 240 items with more to come. The items in these shops were designed with detail in mind - colors, materials and styles are all culture/hometown specific. This will further branch into areas in the game (and has already), so that people from Al-Akrin know that vine-like imagery is common in their lands, while umber-hued leather is most often found in northern Labyria.

These shops also include Cultural Centers where new players (and old ones) can learn about where they're from, getting background on governments, religions, races and more.

We have always felt that the School is an important element to attracting new players, and providing a newbie-friendly environment. We hope players enjoy it, and we welcome suggestions and comments.

As well, we have launched a new city, Imbraer, located in Labyria. The city is a seedy place, rundown, crime-ridden and based off the coast of the continent, providing a very interesting and detailed theme (a great deal of sailors, sea-related items, etc.) Imbraer is a landmark for the great areas to come in TP MUD, and it has already in the last week created a great deal of RP for the 'darker' characters.

We look forward to seeing you...
