This is a discussion on "Foreign MUDs" in the Top Mud Sites Advertising for Players forum : Any Asian mudders here that have heard of Jin Yong? He is a highly respected fantasy novel(Wu Xia) writer in China, and all of his novels(14 are most famous) are set in a world of opposing clans with different styles of martial arts. I was watching a Chinese movie based on one of his books (Xiao Ao Jiang Hu) this weekend, and started to wonder if anyone has made a MUD based on Jin Yong's world. No offense to the standard Western MUDs or anything, but the richness of Jin Yong's world would blow things like ... |

Any Asian mudders here that have heard of Jin Yong?
He is a highly respected fantasy novel(Wu Xia) writer in China, and all of his novels(14 are most famous) are set in a world of opposing clans with different styles of martial arts. I was watching a Chinese movie based on one of his books (Xiao Ao Jiang Hu) this weekend, and started to wonder if anyone has made a MUD based on Jin Yong's world. No offense to the standard Western MUDs or anything, but the richness of Jin Yong's world would blow things like necromancers and paladins completely out of the water. I found this one Jin Yong game, but it is a MORPG, and pay-per-play, I was wondering if anyone knew of a free MUD that is based on Jin Yong? |
