A little late , but the mud is written entirely in Java. The mud incorporates heaviy upgraded versions of older stock areas like Midgaard and Olympus for new mudders or people new to Dawn of the Ages. Over the past few years, additional careers have cropped up along with a greatly expanded world or original areas, and long quests which offer more than just the mindless mob hunt.

As with all the muds since the coming of the MMO's, the player base has taken an unavoidable hit. The system still supports some of the best coding and thoughtfulness Ive seen in my 8 years of mudding, and has all the clan and relgious order infrastructure in place for a second coming of players. Besides what was mentioned in the first post, additional items of mention include limited items, a more balanced than typical pk system due to equipment power and other statuses, a reincarnation system with new exciting races which comes with new special abilities, and much more. The help files are very well written, giving new players a chance to explore features of their characters well in preview before making the level climbs.

Finally, a new epic level system enables characters to gain skill points to perfect their character after maxing out its normal abilities, an excellent feature for anyone who has had a great high level character they couldnt part with, but with nothing really left to do.
