This is a discussion on "Glomdoring: Dark Forest in Lusternia" in the Top Mud Sites Advertising for Players forum : After months of anticipation, the Commune of Glomdoring came into existence. A coven was formed to Mother Night, calling itself the Guild of Shadowdancers, and Gwynevere Whytetower-Draknoris was named Queen of the Night. Also, the Ebonguard was formed to defend the commune, with Daganev Treeripper was placed as its guildmaster. The Elder Goddess Viravain currently rules the commune with absolutely and total authority. Shadowdancers are of the wicca archetype, though they have to enslave fae to service unlike other wiccans as no right-thinking fae would willing serve them. Mother Night is their spiritual totem and they can choose to either hex or heal in service to the Glomdoring Forest. The Ebonguard members are of the warrior archetype, choosing their weapon specialization as all warriors do as well as training in athletics. They also can pledge themselves to Mother Night. It has been foretold that, instead of walking the dark path of Night, in the future they will be able to choose to pledge themsleves to the tainted Great Nature Spirit of Crow. If you ever wanted to be a dark forest witch or be part of a dark forestal organization just getting off the ground, you may want to brave the exciting realms found only in Lusternia: Age of Ascension! |

Not to mention it's worth it just to walk around the Ethereal Glomdoring, but watch out for spiders if you run around on the prime's forest.

You guys left the spiders? ####. The forest floor is going to be littered with newbies in no time. I could hardly take those things at level 30 >_<
Just to vent a bit, early in the game I was once of the primary people involved in the Glomdoring. Then I got banned (On purpose, so I can't complain about that) and it came out as a player-inhabited commune a month later. Cry. Anyway, it's an awesome place. Some of the best history and descriptions in the game, in my opinion, and with lots of great people involved in it. Tell Visaeris that Guido says 'yo', and not to screw it up. - Guido Flagg (Okay, in reality I did very little that helped Glomdoring. I just hung out with the people that did, shouted a lot, and managed to make everyone believe that I was someone important without lifting a finger. It worked for awhile) |

Actually the nasty critters won't attack newbies, others will just have to be careful...

The Great Spirit of Crow has begun to teach once again, and with the rise of the guild of the Blacktalon Druids, Glomdoring is complete.
The caw of Crow echoes across the Basin, and new practitioners are just beginning to stretch their wings... |

Too bad the Blacktalon Guildmaster ran off so that all of us who missed the event can't join.

Yes, the Blacktalon Guild has fully opened!
Blacktalon members are of the druid archetype, whose prime skill involves both raising forests and melding their power in forest locations. However, their forests are tainted! They pledge themselves to the Great Nature Spirit of Crow, who grants them many flying abilities as well as many powers of the dark forest (including building their dread carrion nests! Now is a great time to get involved if you are interested in roleplaying a dark druid! |

I love the writing in Lusternia. It's forced me to redo my MUD world yet again, but I might not be able to equal the coolness you people have. Much respect
Your combat system still needs work though |
