I think Untamed lands would fit with what you are looking for quiet well!
We are vary newbie friendly. Me or Rock crusher Sargon loves to help people as much as I can! And will be happy to just chat with you also if you would like.

The player base is low right now but growing daily it seems and the player base we do have is great!!!!!!
They voice their ideas, grips and opinions freely! And I love them for that!!!! I personally value each and every person that logs into the game and you can bug me all you like on the game, in IM's and emails all you like!
