This is a discussion on "Perished Lands awaits you!" in the Top Mud Sites Advertising for Players forum : Greetings Mudders! Many people have been looking for a good MUD to play. What defines a good MUD? Is it players? Will you give up on a good MUD if you arrive and there aren't any more than 3 or 4 names on the 'WHO' list? What about Code? or Areas? It has come to this implementor's attention that a good game involves strategy, as well as something different that maybe the thick masses of players have not yet encountered. Greetings Mudders!
Many people have been looking for a good MUD to play. What defines a good MUD? Is it players? Will you give up on a good MUD if you arrive and there aren't any more than 3 or 4 names on the 'WHO' list? What about Code? or Areas? It has come to this implementor's attention that a good game involves strategy, as well as something different that maybe the thick masses of players have not yet encountered. Perhaps it is just about a theme, like all those 'Themed MUDS' based on movies, and books. What about the MUD? Does it serve the needs of the players?
