This is a discussion on "Historical Games out there?" in the Top Mud Sites Advertising for Players forum :

One area that seems to be very much suffering for lack of games (perhaps from lack of players?) is the historical periods. There's plenty of fantasy and sci fi for every taste, but if you don't want magic or laser guns, there's very few places to go. Even many of the medieval earth settings mix in magic to bring in the fantasy players. So far, I've found two still active: Chicago (1920s Gangsters) and Fort Bloodshed (Wild West).
