DEEP-VOICED ANNOUNCER: What if magic is our only hope?

The tattooed man raises a hand, palm out, and sends a fireball crackling toward the camera. It explodes and then the scene cuts to the following fast-edit montage, which features:

* A hide-covered dirigible lofting over a massive stone wall as soldiers on that wall shoot flaming arrows at the craft.
* A trio of stooped Wildlings, claws flashing as they fling themselves at a group of human adventurers.
* Siege engines rolling into place outside a heavily fortified keep.
* Dark-skinned island-dwelling Moss Men hurling spears at massive stone golems that stomp toward their village.
* A short, bearded Halaghi bundled in furs, tumbling over a cliff edge on a snowy precipice. Another Halaghi grabs for his hand and catches only a glove, watching helplessly as he tumbles into darkness.
* Hundreds of humans, their faces marked with black and white circles, raising their hands toward the great wall that surrounds Fastheld. A man standing on a nearby ridge cries: "BRING IT DOWN!" The screen goes black.
