This is a discussion on "The Abduction of Kore" in the Top Mud Sites Advertising for Players forum : As nymphs spread the word that a young goddess in their care had gone missing, mortals around the world searched for the girl. Kore had been painting flowers when she wandered away from her watchers and vanished. The girl's mother, Demeter, wept at the loss - creating a great, continual rain over the entire known world. As nymphs spread the word that a young goddess in their care had gone missing, mortals around the world searched for the girl. Kore had been painting flowers when she wandered away from her watchers and vanished. The girl's mother, Demeter, wept at the loss - creating a great, continual rain over the entire known world.
Upon adventuring, the mortals of Greece have discovered that the girl has been abducted by Haides, god of the Underworld. It would seem a matter fit only for a god to solve as the Underworld would mean a certain end to any mortal who goes there. In a fit of rage, Demeter has sent the entire earth into a winter disaster. Farmers search the towns for jobs as their crops freeze and their animals die of exposure. The snow keeps falling and the mortal men and women are left with the insurmountable task of either getting the girl back or consoling her mourning mother.
