This is a discussion on "Daedal Macabre new Supercomputer for server!!" in the Top Mud Sites Advertising for Players forum : Today we finally managed to get the new server up and running for Daedal Macabre. What is it? It has 8 3000mHz processors running on 4 gigabytes of ram! We made sure to put in 2 Geforce5 video cards to handle all the massive scrolling text!!! Our connection is now running on 3 dedicated OC3 data connections! There are even rumors that we will need an upgrade next week as we are using up too much bandwidth!! Serious note - we did get a new server, it's a AMD 2200+ w/ 1 gig of DDR and a 60 gig hd. ... |

Today we finally managed to get the new server up and running for Daedal Macabre. What is it? It has 8 3000mHz processors running on 4 gigabytes of ram! Serious note - we did get a new server, it's a AMD 2200+ w/ 1 gig of DDR and a 60 gig hd. I'm happy. My first sentence after I logged in was, "The new server scrolls too fast for me, I say we go back to the old one." I wasn't sure if this went in the announcement section or not, but figured I'd skip getting yelled at by Synozeer and post it here first  We're also having a MUD convention this weekend in Columbus, Ohio - because I live there and they flock to me like the good little addicts that they are. I M 1337 PuSh0r, I sell digital crack. It should be mighty interesting, insane, and ... unlike last year, no one will be getting their head shaved by a naked drunk guy (there are pics on the website of this, I am not kidding.) Wheee!
