“The year is 1917. In the Russian capital of Petrograd, unrest is brewing. Tsar
Nicholas II is becoming increasingly unpopular among the Russian citizens as their economy lags behind that of industrialized Europe, and the Russian army has been deeply entrenched in World War I for three years with no sign that they are coming home soon. The Tsar himself has attempted, and failed, to lead the troops to victory in Europe. The Tsar's rule has been tainted since the Khodynka Tragedy at his coronation, which resulted in the deaths of nearly 1400 people. In 1905, the first attempt at revolution was sparked by the 'Bloody Sunday' massacre in which imperial guardsmen gunned down peaceful protesters in the streets of Petrograd. The people of Russia are suspicious of the Tsar's German wife and her too close- for-comfort allegiance to the mysterious Grigori Rasputin. In the meantime, followers of the writings of Karl Marx are planning and plotting, and the nation is on the brink of civil war...” One of the more recent additions to the long list of areas (over 60!) represented on LegendMUD, Russian Revolution Petrograd features mobiles carefully crafted from actual historical figures: Tsar Nicholas II and the entire royal family, the mysterious Rasputin, the brave revolutionary Lenin, and many more.
