This is a discussion on "Everyone needs a coder..." in the Top Mud Sites Advertising for Staff forum : Greetings! I am Azeroth Urden of Shrouded Intentions. I suppose it is nothing new to see a "coder needed" post on a mudsite. These days good coders are sticking with what jobs they have, and the ones who are looking for a job do not want to code for a "new mud". Greetings!
I am Azeroth Urden of Shrouded Intentions. I suppose it is nothing new to see a "coder needed" post on a mudsite. These days good coders are sticking with what jobs they have, and the ones who are looking for a job do not want to code for a "new mud". Shrouded Intentions has just went back to ROM 2.4 from ROT in order to make it easier to code. We have a *VERY* extensive system to code in, this system will change the face of ROM. When we are finished we will have a custom code. We just need a coder. The system will be based on 3rd Edition D&D. If you are interested please respond via email or stopping by the mud. If you wish to insult our efforts or sneer at the fact that we are new, please do not respond. Our staff has worked very hard on "behind the scenes" work. We have a 12 page history and a very excellent website. When this mud is finished...we will be ready to compete with the "commercial" muds... Azeroth Urden here. You are right, I am still new to wording things right. I have had a few responses to posts where people are "critiqing" how I word things. At any rate, the point I was getting at is that when we are finished...nothing but a very experienced coder and/or mudder will recognize the code. Sorry for the confusion.
