The Mysts of Turmoil has been in the works for about 6 months now. We have a pretty solid time line and we are not opening for player testing for another 4-6 months.

We have a very solid staff, 12-15 active builders. Over 150 features have been added, as well as a lot of original code.

We still need more builders on top of the ones we do have to help build and shape the world of Rathenna. We are medieval/fantasy based with a crudely made website located at http://turmoil.gotdns.com.

We are not a mud run by kids (no offense). We are on a dedicated server (no a freebie) on a secure linux box run out of the US. The three Supreme Beings (2 being a husband/wife team) are all in their late 20's and up and have children of their own. We have no intentions of the mud closing down. We have a very rigid game plan and intend to stick to it. We have 7 coders right now, all with their own shell account and testports. Everything codewise gets tested before being put into the main mud shell.

We use Smaug OASIS OLC and have helpfiles for each of the commands needed for building. We are all pretty close and relaxed on the mud as well as hard working and dedicated to each building and coding project. We are both PK/NonPK system with suggested RP. Whta we are trying to go for is making this mud unique and original but also familiar and surprising. Something that will get us players and keep them coming back for more The key word is trying. In order to try to do this we need as many builders as possible to bring thier own flare and originality to our enviornment. To build what they think will be unique and yet surprising for the players.

We do have limitations put on new builders though. That is we start each new builder off with a 25 room area to build to their liking as long as it stays within the medieval theme we are working for. Each builder starts off with just basic room commands for 10 good desc's then works thier way up from there. We strictly forbid any use of the word YOU in room descriptions.

Since we are trying to make the mud original and unique we encourange all staff to share any ideas or suggestions that they may have to help better the mud. Each person that builds or codes or just privides anything that benifits the mud does get public recognition for what they have done in our credits section on the webpage.
