Out of curiosity, what's the state of the copyright on the Shannara worlds? Has that IP been given to the public domain, or is Terry Brooks on record saying he doesn't care if you use the Shannara IP in a MUD?

well, I tried to get in touch with Terry Brooks and ask his permission and everything. I got the response that Terry Brooks doesn't condone fan fiction, but if we made the mud, they wouldn't do anything about it. Also, there is already a MUD and MUSH based off of it. So, I think we may still try to make it.
