Tarmon Gai'don is a MUD based on Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series.  We are currently looking to expand our immortal staff by opening positions (leadership and assistant) within the following guilds:

Gleeman              Illuminators
Kin                     Children of the Light
Thieftaker           Wansho
Tower Guard        Queen's Guard
Blightwatch

If you have interests outside of these, feel free to make mention within a suitable place in the application.

Applicants should be responsible, mature, and realize theirs is a position of both leadership and servitude.  

It is up to the immortals to act as leaders - to promote their guild and raise interest of it among the players, to instill proper WoT-themed role-play among the player base, to guide players during their character's role-play growth, to motivate inter- and intra- guild role-play, to administer the rules set forth by Council, etc., etc.

As servants, they should be willing to put several hours in every week making their guild entertaining for those who play within it.  This may include lessons, lectures, tests, random role-play scenarios, etc.  This does not mean jumping when players want something.  It simply means that when you are on-line with your immortal character you are working to promote role-play, answer general questions, be helpful, or just chatting to keep spirits up.

Tarmon Gai'don has been around for a number of years and has seen numerous changes in various regards.  We've  currently experienced a lull, with several of our more passionate immortals falling by the way side of the curse known as 'real life'.  We hope to recouperate from this loss by bolstering our ranks with some new blood.  If you wish to learn more about Tarmon try our home page at http://www.tarmongaidon.org  Forgive it's layout, it is currently being remodelled to something with a bit more pizzazz.  Still, it is functional and informative.  If you want to see how serious we take the role-play aspects of the game, take a walk through character generation.  It is fairly thorough and, we like to think, unique.

Many of these guilds have already had people run them in the
past, so if you're daunted by the concept of how to shape a
guild you should not be threatened.  A lot of the work is
already done.  Or if you're truly gung-ho, you can re-work the
guild's layout to your specifications (within reason), if hired.

Really, we're just looking for a few good people to help incite
role-play and entertainment into the game for the masses.
