If you're like most Developers, you're tired of working hard on a project, pouring your imagination and heart into it, only to watch it never succeed, or close down, or be forgotten in the hundreds of projects that team about online. If this is you, and you're a good, dedicated area developer or 'builder', a project DOES exist with a professional staff (We have 4 C++ programmers with three degrees and 37 years of experience between them, as well as a designer with 9 years of prior game conception experience including work for 3 major graphical titles.), ...

Sounds interesting, except for the level stuff and the set classes. I much prefer level-less games where you can attempt to learn any skill you want, although you may or may not succeed.

Anyway good luck. Last time I was involved in a project like this, our genius coder just dropped off the face of the earth.

Absolutely no offense or flame intended, just my needing to point out one of my many pet peeves....

You have 4 programmers with 37 years experience? So that is 1 guy (or gal) with 34 years and 3 with 1 each?

I used to work for a company that advertised we had XX number years experience...but it was one old guy with lots of newbies. I always hated that.

Anyway, good luck on your project!

Unlikely, considering the first commercial release of C++ was only 18 years ago. Of course the OP doesn't actually say what the experience is in (37 years experience in C++? In programming in general? In mudding? In being alive?).

Oof, sorry so long for a reply.

1 guy Nick Shaffner - 16 years experience
1 guy Richard Secor - 9 Years experience
1 guy Jeff Watson - 3 Years
1 guy Dave Klein - 4 years

Then we have our less experienced guys which have 1-2 years each. Hope that helps.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck there =( Always seems to be the way of the business. Woe to those who cannot code!

And by the way! You can learn -about- any skill you want with the Kit system we have. You just have your basic class sets and then the 'other kits' you can get. Of course you cannot be a warrior and go learn magic type stuff, but you could learn other things outside the normal 'warrior' stuff.

Thanks for taking the time!
Chel

So, your staff is largely male?  Although this is the trend in MUDding in general, I find that having a largely female staff tends to (but does not necessarily) bring a more mature element into the game...

And if you think that "mature" means "sex"... you're likely a guy, and definitely making my point for me.

'In vain' is without result... 'in vein' is where your blood is located (if you're lucky).

Lord Templar Hard Nose nods once.
