So, yes, I have started up a MUD of my own and I am getting much done on my own, but still would love some assistance from others [read: I wish to gather minions]. So I am posting this ad for help.
I need different types of folks. Such as:
A Coder
Some Builders
Helpfile Editor/Creator/Updater
A couple of 'Storytellers' [or GM if you prefer].

What I Need (In Depth):
- Coder: I need a coder to at least help implement new things and expand on the content available in the MUD. Because my skills at coding are mediocre at best and really, just because I can change/update things does not make me a coder at all, truth be told. I'm seriously afraid I'm gonna break something sooner or later if I don't watch what I am doing. So I need someone that knows what is going down. Someone that is hopefully easy to talk to, trustworthy and fun to work with or bounce ideas off of.
- Builders: I need a couple of builders to help build the area(s) for the MUD. I need a good couple of people that are pretty much self-motivated and don't need me to hold their hand and tell them that they ought to get something done. I don't mind trying to help teach people, but I don't really have any patience for people who have jobs and sit around and do nothing. Sorry. People that are friendly and and the like are a major bonus.
- Helpfile Editor: I can make helpfiles easily enough, but they look like complete and utter dog poop. So I need someone that can sit down with me and go over helpfiles and pretty them up after I give the needed info or what not. Perhaps even have a good sense of grammar and an eye for spelling errors wouldn't hurt either.
- GMs/Storytellers: Need me a couple of talented folk to help me run the 'MUD-Wide' storyline. Your jobs will pretty much include helping to run combat situations and various other things as well, at least until such a time we can get the dice-roller to work for the players as well, perhaps. Even then you might be required to at least supervise combat situations to make sure it is all 'by the book' so to speak.

Additional Stuff:
- Additional Info: The codebase is referred to as Nights Asunder, which from what I am told is a heavily modified GW/Diku codebase. I had inherited the version I have from a trusted friend, for those that care or are wondering.
- Theme: At the moment the definite themes are thus: modern, and World of Darkness based. Which means there will be werewolves, vampires, ghouls, things that thump around in the night. It will be RP enforced hence why the need for GMs/STs.
- PK/PVE/Other: This MUD is actually going to be RP enforced. Not saying deaths between players will NOT happen but there are prerequisites that need to occur and combat that needs to be run through, usually. PVE might be a another LIGHT term we can use for it. Though really there is no way for them to face off against MOBs since the command for it was pretty much removed, and there is no need to face off against MOBs in general unless something happens in roleplay. I hope that explains it.

Planned 'Projects':
- Currency/Money & Banking: I want to include an actual sort of economy into the game instead of just having people run around saying they 'paid' for this or that. I think, or rather hope that it'll make things a bit more interesting.
- Further Classes: This is something I want to have done a little later on in the game, but I'd like to introduce new classes. Things that will expand the choices of the players as the base (hopefully) grows.
- Housing: Actual housing for players, apartments that actually require regular-ish rent to be paid. While it would be a pain in the ass, it is also a more 'realistic' sort of situation. Of course, people that OWN houses don't need to pay rent...
- Vehicles: Not really a must and possibly an idea that will be toyed with but not really done with at the moment. It doesn't seem that plausible of an idea at the moment...
- Jobs & Player-run Shops: I've always enjoyed that sort of thing in other MUDs and I think it'd be a really fun idea for mine, and again it'd help set up an economy and what not.
And those are the ideas and thoughts that I've had that I can remember off of the top of my head. I will probably update this post with further projects/ideas as the hiring process is going along.

In general I like working with friendly folk that have a sense of humor and don't create a bunch of unneeded drama. The less drama that occurs the happier I'll be and I am sure many agree with that particular sentiment.
