Um, I'd say oranges are pretty fun. They sting if you get hit in the eyes.

Bananas, totally, when bananas start to rot they get such a sweet flavour..... sweet bananalike heaven....yum

Tomatoes are the ultimate in rotten fruit goodness, but since you already said that, i'll go with apples. You know, the ones...that crab apple tree in the yard...brown and mushy apples everywhere....the bees.....THE BEES! *runs away screaming and flailing his arms about wildly*

I dunno about fruit, but anyone ever open a frigde only to find an old onion with with a six inch green stalk growing out of it?

Yes, garlic will do the same thing. And I don't know if you've ever seen a spud (potato) that's just been hanging out too long. It looks like a mutated mindflayer.

The best rotten anything to throw would be a pumpkin (small ones) because one side always goes first. Thus, you still have a firm side to grasp on to, and you point the extremely mushy side at your buddy. No mess, no fuss... except for your target, of course.

On our game, however, the best rotten fruit to throw is a rotten pineapple. It breaks nicely and spills sticky juices all over the person you manage to hit. The pirates that throw them can also smack you in the eye with it, causing all sorts of problem.

We have a nice variety of rotten veggies you can throw as well.

Hehe, when I was coding a MUD I added in a stocks system to go along with auto-law enforcement, and people could throw stuff at the poor sod in the stocks including rotten vegetables. Rotten eggs were favourite because of the smell!
