This is a discussion on "Looking for this codebase..." in the Top Mud Sites MUD Administration forum :

I once saw a codebase that fit some of the things I'm looking for, but I've forgotten where to find it. Mainly, I'm looking for a codebase where the characters 'learn through doing' (i.e, skill-trees), but they forgot the skills if they never used them. I believe the codebase was also levelless. If anyone knows where I can find this codebase again, please email: fangoracle@gmail.com...

Was this a codebase or a MUD?

I know several that feature "branching skills" but don't recall any that take them away through disuse (that's not to suggest that such a code doesn't exist). Perhaps it's just a matter of modifying one of the existing codebases.

Take care,

Jason

It was definitely a codebase, and not a pre-existing MUD.

The problem is it wasn't very fluently documented online (thus my trouble finding it again). X.x; Heh.

Thanks for the input though. It may be that whoever created it has removed it from public grasp. Who knows?
