If you're aware of Nick Yee's ongoing Daedalus Project, you'll want to know that he's put out some new analysis. Now granted, his methodology is flawed insofar as he's posting polls online and getting 2-4k MUD players to answer, thus creating a self-selecting audience, but his results are still worth thinking about.
A summary of some of the latest results: 1. PvP is favoured by a younger demographic than PvE. 2. 22% of respondents said they'd purchased virtual gold on the black market. 3. 1 in 6 has military experience. -matt |
