Armageddon MUD will be having an HRPT for Sunday, May 2nd, beginning at three o'clock pm EST (Eastern Standard Time).

For those of you who have not experienced an HRPT before, this means that something will happen with effects felt throughout the entire game. No matter where you are... you most likely will hear, feel, or be involved. HRPT stands for Highly Recommend Play Time. Enjoy.

Just a wee bit o'warnin, and it comes with the appropriate humor intended:

An HRPT is probably not a very good time to log into the game for the very first time. It's kinda a given that a boatload of people are gonna die that day, and a newbie is probably going to stand there wondering WTF!!! while the rest of the characters are running for their lives, or toward the gates while waving their swords defiantly at "the enemy."

You will probably not get nearly as much newbie help as you should expect and deserve during an HRPT, because the majority of the player base is REALLY involved in whatever part their character is playing. Even if they look like they're just sitting there, it's likely they're having an intense 4-way telepathic call, contacting, psing, breaking, contact the next person, etc. etc. to relay info about what's going on.

Having said that -

For those who have new characters and have already wandered into the game, welcome to your first HRPT! May your death be exquisite and intense.

Bah , ignore that...come on in...you may not quite get it and may have a bit of trouble getting extra help during such a thing as an HRPT on Arm...but what the ****?!

Come on in...see what's happening...live or die and get a little taste of the roleplaying addiction that is Armageddon!
