And the winner for this years code challenge is:

KaVir! Congratulations to this returning winner of the online text gaming code challenge! KaVir continues to show his expertise in the card game arena by returning to win the top prize for his Card Game entry. A hearty thanks to this developer for providing the text gaming community with an outstanding piece of work that expands further the text gaming enjoyment.

There are currently no challenges in the buffer. MudMagic needs your input for the next challenge - what would you as a developer of online text gaming like to see? ( interaction with IM'ing? , protocol procedures, specific snippet development, etc.. )

Once more congratulations to KaVir, his entry is now available for download at:

Scandum's challenge: Build a series of functions or classes that will allow users to play poker with each other, or with an artificial interface. Through the use of dynamic descriptions players should be able to examine each other's poker face and be able to manipulate their own face in an intricate manner to avoid having their bluffs figured out by their opponent.

This is almost as much fun as the mud programmer of the year award

*LOL* I _like_ that. Similiar to the stances that players take up in fighting, users can set poker faces. Pretty interesting =) That'd probably be a small challenge though. I'm going to push this contest to a yearly event - so it should be something that can be designed and worked on over the course of a year.

I didn't know there was a mud programmer of the year, but MudMagic will definately put the best programmers forward with this yearly challenge. Elanthis has given some awesome ideas for the challenge ( I'm still working on deciphering them ). Thanks for the idea on the challenge Scandum!
