As some of you may know, I run a storytelling competition the week before every MUD-Con. MUD-Con III is rapidly approaching, and as such I wanted to remind everyone of the competition.

The MUD-Con III Master Storyteller Competition will begin accepting entries on the 12th of July. Entries will be accepted for one week. On July 19th at Midnight no more entries will be accepted. If your entry comes through at 12

1AM EST on July 19th, it will be deleted.

If you would like to enter, check the rules, and prepare an entry. Thanks much.

Hmm, did you ever publish those stories anywhere?
Would have been interesting to read them.

Sadly, I have so much to do that I hardly get to work on prepping them for publication. I do still have all the stories, though, so one day they may all be posted.

Maybe if I can get a spare weekend I might be able to get them all posted... hopefully, anyway. But, I will get them posted, SOMETIME... just gotta find time.

Please note that the 'events' section of the page states I will not accept any competition entries until the 12th of this month. Any entries sent to me before that date will be deleted. I also will not accept HTML entries, as I do not accept HTML e-mail, and I don't know if the other judges do or not.

As such, all entries must be in plain text. I will reflect the rules page to note this. Thanks much.

I suggest you post all the info about the contest on the SAME page that the link above leads to. Otherwise it gets pretty confusing for the prospecive contestants.

I would, but the events system is quite seperate from the basic page with the rules. The only thing not included on the main page is the date and time, though. Plus, this way, the main MUD-Con event gets a bit more notice.

I appreciate the suggestion, but I prefer the way it is handled now.

Ok, stories are now being accepted. Everyone has until the 19th, at Midnight EST to get me their stories. Any stories that arrive after midnight on the 19th will be immediately deleted. I won't keep any stories after that time, because at Midnight I'll send them on to the judges.
