This is a discussion on "Closing Down: Realm of the Magi" in the Top Mud Sites MUD Announcements forum : Due to lack of administration and player participation, and the amount of changes required to have our mudlib to be updated to the newest LDMud release, Realm of the Magi has closed down and is likely not to return. It has been an incredible NINE (9) YEARS running and has seen over 300+ players and several creators, wizards and dedicated administrators to make such a place exist as long as it did. The head administration team of RotM would like to thank all of the past and returning administrators and wizards that tried to rebirth our game to the public ... |

Due to lack of administration and player participation, and the amount of changes required to have our mudlib to be updated to the newest LDMud release, Realm of the Magi has closed down and is likely not to return. It has been an incredible NINE (9) YEARS running and has seen over 300+ players and several creators, wizards and dedicated administrators to make such a place exist as long as it did.
The head administration team of RotM would like to thank all of the past and returning administrators and wizards that tried to rebirth our game to the public once again. I also wish to express my deepest feelings of graditude to those players that actually helped place Realm of the Magi on their 'addiction' list for online games. Without their support, Realm of the Magi would have never exisited for as long as it has. Due to several copyright issues and some concerns of our original administration team, the entire RotM mudlib will not be made available to the general public. However, several of our upper administrators have deemed that we will make certain code into snippets and they will be uploaded to the LPMud Resource & Reference site (http://lpmud.murpe.com/) for those looking to improve their LPMud environment. These snippets will not be supported so they will become your responsibility to keep them working. Farewell thy friends. Farewell. |
