This Week At MudWorld
Volume 1, Issue 13

- World of Warcraft: The Keyword is Balance
MudWorld has posted a preview of the newest Warcraft
game. The following is from the preview written by
S.L. Clifford.

"I entered the online gaming community in May of
2002, after purchasing Everquest Trilogy and the
Shadows of Luclin expansion pack. Previously I had
been an avid player of console and computer games, as
well as some online MUD games, including an LPC MUD
based game that I helped code with a group of friends.

Everquest was a breath of fresh air. After failing at
playing a Human Shadow Knight, who quickly met his
death, I remade a Wood Elf Bard and fell in love with
the tree city of Kelethin. I then played Everquest
exclusively for two years, dabbling only slightly in
Final Fantasy Online because I’m a huge fan of
Squaresoft RP games."

- Kenetix MUD Reviews of MudWorld Affiliates
Adjani of Kenetix.Biz is offering to review MUDs
listed by UCMM as affiliates. Before you ask, it is
for free. There are roughly 50 active MUDs on the UCMM
list. Adjani requires that admin grant her permission
to review the MUDs before doing so. The guidelines
for reviewing are based on MudWorld's. Each MUD
reviewed will be posted at Kenetix, with a lead-in
from MudWorld. You can see my version of a test
example via the link below as well as a link to
Kenetix.Biz.

If anyone wishes to contact Adjani to grant her
permission or has any questions or concerns, utilize
the information below:
Web: http://www.mudworld.org/contact.php3 (Utilize the
submission form.)

- Immortal University
Immortal University is holding a creative writing
contest. Starting on July 1st and running through the 24th,
submissions will begin to be accepted. If you are
interested, please refer to the first link below for
the contest rules. If you have any questions,
comments or additional ideas, then please post them
via the second link below.

http://www.mudworld.org/ImmU/contests/

The judges will accept any size submission but will
only be required to read the maximum stated in the
rules. The rules have been adjusted accordingly to
state this change.

As of July 9, if you have submitted your story before
this date, please resubmit it once more. Due to a
filtering issue submissions may have become lost in
bulk mail. The filters have hopefully been readjusted
correctly. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have
caused and thank you!

- Mud Staff Resource Page
Ever thought it would be nice to have some type of
gamer job service? Ever wanted to post your
availability to work on a game to the world? Ever
needed to hire someone and did not have any idea where
to start? Perhaps you should visit the Mud Staff
Resource Page. The MSRP has been a leading source for
game job postings in this community since 1998. It is
free to use and keeps records for up to two years.

Game administrators can post job openings. Game
staff can post their availability to work. Hosting
services can advertise themselves to visitors. There
is even a command help file dictionary if you would
rather find already written help files instead of
writing your own from scratch. All of this without
any memberships or catches! Check out MSRP today and
tell your friends!

Those pitiful MMORPG's will fall prey to GuildWars in due time.

Ya, I said that about Nintendo when Atari has been out for years.  Flippity flew, those new fangled graphics and sound will never catch on!
