I guess the subject takes the wind outta my sails, and removes the surprise. I shoulda screamed about sex or other organs to get some shock-factor attention! What was I thinking?! Anyways! As it says there will be a MUD-Con V! I know it's been awhile since one has been ran, (I think the last one was FoM and we all know how -that- turned out

.) Now, I'm hoping to get this one off without a hitch, *knocks on wood*. The server has had countless hours spent on it to get it going, as has the new website. I know this is Orion's baby, but he's under a few time restraints so it is I who will be the host this year! As per-usual Arthmoor Internet Services will be hosting this bad boy, and I feel we are in good hands.

MUD-Con's Master StoryTeller Competition is back again this time around! So get writing! I've set the dead-line to April 2nd 2006 at 11:59PM EST, so get your entries (Max of 2) off to mudconv@gmail.com to enter! Late entries will not be taken! This year, the prize for the winner is $50(CAD)! Good luck to all those who enter! Our judges this year are Conner from Land of Legends MUD, Crystal from Advent of the Mist MUD, myself, and a former winner of the Master StoryTeller Competition, Noximist of A Dark Portal!

This MUD-Con has been in the works for about a month now, and probably right up until the date (which I'm getting too!

Well! I never thought I'd get a response like this! We are now exactly 2 months away from the date of MUD-Con and we've already received 34 RSVP's, along with several others expressing interest! I'm ecstatic over this! Thanks to all those who have contacted me, and who have RSVP'd on the site, you have made my days! I'm especially pleased to see quite a few members of the LPC community coming to the Con. As well as a few people that totally surprised me! Darkoth being one of them.

Anyways! The codebase is chuggin' along quite nicely and nearing its completion! I've re-vamped several of the systems to have a more natural feel to them, hopefully! Added a feature or two here or there to help aid the Con (you'll see!

So! If you haven't already visit the site, and RSVP ASAP! (too many acronyms?

) to reserve your name for the convention! Also! Get writing, the Master StoryTeller Competition is back! Submit anytime! Your early submissions will definitely not be penalized! Of course, make sure it's your best work, just don't be to nit-picky and miss the dead line! (April 2nd at 11:59pm EST!

Hello again!

Just making a month-away announcement! That's right! MUD-Con V is now only a month away! Fine tuning the codebase and website more, and more! Eesh, I just hope I have enough time! I've had a few suggestions thrown my way that is leading to more and more features! And useful ones, at that (I hope!

Currently no one has entered the Master Story-teller competition, but that's to be expected. ::awaits the mass flood of e-mails to come April 2nd:: You writers and your deadlines!

Anyways! A few things I'd like to add! I will publicly state this, as it seems I haven't in the past... MUD-Con will go as long as people keep talking! So if your on a different timezone, still try to pop in. It could go till the wee hours of the morning! We have 58 RSVP's to date, and I'm absolutely thrilled about this number! Make sure, if you haven't already, swing by and RSVP at http://mudcon.thehighc.com. All other information is there as well (except the address/port of it's location, that's coming soon, I promise!

Also! If you have questions, comments, suggestions, ideas, or your story! You can send them to mudconv@gmail.com, and I'll respond ASAP! Can't wait for the event! Hope to see you guys real soon!
