This is a discussion on "What attracts you?" in the Top Mud Sites MUD Announcements forum : Ok, I am not talking about the opposite sex. I am talking about MUD resource sites. Where else is a better place to ask this question then this forum. Orion asked you what sites you visit, I want to know what draws you to those sites. "Disscussions" It can mean forums, maillists or chatrooms. Various sites offer a combination of these three. "Libel/Gossip" If you do not know what libel means, it is written slander. Slander is when you make a derogitory comment about another. There is a broader definition for what slander is exactly, ... |

There is a broader definition for what slander is exactly, but I would hope you get the point. Gossip is generally conversations about other people and thier lives. MudPlanet (http://www.mudplanet.org/) and MudUniverse (http://www.geocities.com/muduniverse/) used to be considered as libel sites. MudPlanet has corrected itself and MudUniverse has died. "(P)reviews" means previews and/or reviews. Game Commandoes was a site solely deticated to this genre. "Links/Ranking" are sites which have links to other sites and/or offer ranking to those visited. This site is an example of one. "Resources/Services" Resources usually are associate with links to specialty sites or sections which can help a person out in some way. Services alone could be design, hosting or staffing related. There are dozens of sites which offer resources and a few which offer services. MudWorld (http://www.mudworld.org/) offers resources as well as information about sites which offer services. |
