PhoenixMud.org is proud to announce we've reached the milestone of ten years of consistent operation with a decent player base as of March of this year. We don't think that's too shabby considering we're a free to play, text based, modified Circle. All interested in finding a "not just a game" to play, but a "home" with the potential for lasting friendships are invited to come join us!

Hey, I mean, think about it. 10 years providing people with entertainment for free. You have to respect that.

Congratulations, Iluvatar, and may you see 10 more prosperous years!

I will always remember, with gratitude and affection, the time many years back, when the Staff of PhoenixMud so generously and unselfishly shared their building knowledge with me. At that time the Mud I built on had switched codebase from Mythran to Circle, I was bewildered and frustrated, and they helped me through a very hard period in my building career.

Since then Iluvatar and his colleagues in PhoenixMud have helped and tutored many other builders, and set up a quality standard for building that most other Muds could look upon as both an inspiration and a challenge. One doesn’t often find unconditioned helpfulness like that on the Net, especially not paired with professionalism, in the best sense of the word. As a fellow builder I have the deepest respect for the staff at Phoenix Mud, and I’ll always regard Iluvatar as a very good friend.

Congratulations to Iluvatar and the other good people at Phoenix Mud! May you live and prosper, and keep up the spirit of all true free Muds!

Is this anniversary week? What's the deal here? Anyways, good job, ten years is a long time to do ANYTHING continuously.
