http://www.mudmagic.com/codes/challenge/ This challenge introduces a new method of judging, in that there are no pre-defined functionality requirements. Nope. This challenge is going to show just what the developer is made of in their ingenuity with online text game programming. A list of potential functions and possible usage has been supplied - but the overall library is up to you. Now's the time to work up that string library for ansi, mxp, msp, etc that you've been meaning to get around to but just havn't yet. The only restriction is a minimum of 5 string related functions. The Code Challenge: Create a string manipulation library or series of functions which provides online text game programmers with quick method of string manipulation; such as color converting (RGB), advanced string handling (chop, regex, string comparison, global substitutions, token return manipulation, etc).
