This is a discussion on "Threshold is no longer pay-to-play." in the Top Mud Sites MUD Announcements forum : Threshold is no longer pay-to-play: It is now free to play with optional pay-for-perks. Base registration will no longer be required. All of the other additional perks and features you can pay for will continue to exist, and your existing rewards will continue as normal. We will also continue to look for more ways to give you even more value for your registration dollar. Threshold is no longer pay-to-play: It is now free to play with optional pay-for-perks.

We will still encourage people to become a Citizen and we will have more Citizen-only features and events to reward our loyal players. This should also make it much easier for our existing players to recruit friends and acquaintances. Since that is traditionally the best way to gain new citizens, this is a good thing. |

Just another minor announcement to attach to this.
Our progress from being "one-time membership fee" required to no longer having that fee required has progressed with a few bumps and bruises. A new member of TMS has given us a lot of feedback from a new player's perspective helping us smooth out several aspects of the transition that we missed. For anyone who tries us and believes they've stumbled onto something we missed, please do not hesitate to mail admin. (Just mudmail admin.) Thanks again! |
