Lusternia is pleased to announce that it has just released the monk archetype. The first monk guild was called the Shofangi Guild, and is located in the Serenwilde Forest Commune.

Lusternia monks first study the basic martial arts skill called 'kata', and then take specializations where the monks learn a specific weapon (for example, Shofangi learn to master deerhorn knives). This is a new combat design wherein kata and its specializations are made up of actions and modifiers, and players can make their own custom martial arts forms. For example, you can combine a kick with modifiers to make it fast and hard. Also, you can string forms together in a maneuver for more complex attack sequences.

If you are interested in martial arts and want to take a look at a unique system, you may want to give the Shofangi Guild a try. In the coming months, we hope to open 3 more monk guilds (one in each of the main player organizations), each guild having their own unique specialization.
