2 months ago we did a few nights in a row of RPTs (Recommended Playing Times) and it seemed to work out really well. A lot of folks were online and the response was very positive.

So I am going to do a week of RPTs starting Monday July 7th and lasting until Sunday July 13th. The time for these RPTs is 9pm EDT until midnight.

SOMETHING will happen every day during that span of time. It might be something huge or there might be a few different things that are minor. Things might happen near the beginning, the middle, the end, or throughout.

The main point of these "mystery RPTs" is to gather people online at a scheduled time so "stuff can happen" and everyone can have a blast.

I understand that due to time zone differences of our players, the times for these RPTs are not perfect for everyone. For that I sincerely apologize. If this series of RPTs goes as well or better as the last, I will try to figure out some other time(s) that will include people who were left out so far. But bear in mind that is very difficult to do since the majority of our players live in North America.

Second RPT Night: Tuesday, July 8, 2008

Global heals from the Emperor of Thrace.

A large, global RP event that involved a challenge from Herastia. Participants were tasked with gathering food from all over the realm - with the stipulation that none of it could be store bought. Here is what they returned with:

The food brought in had a total healing value of more than 70 sirloins!

As a reward for the impressive display of food gathering, Herastia blessed all food in the land to make it DOUBLY HEALING (note: some types of food in the game are unusual, and will not be affected by this). For most food, that means it will give double the normal hp, sp, and ep but will have the same cost (when bought) and the same filling amount!
The gathered food was distributed to clerics and ranking members of the assembled faithful so that it could be distributed as those religious leaders saw fit.

Third RPT Night: Wednesday, July 9, 2008

Global heals from King Borgia.
Emirikol announces that he stockpiled sirloins, banquets, and dried fruit that had benefited from Herastia's Blessing. He puts his entire stock up for sale. His available blessed food lasted for about 2 RL hours.
Bast rained danar upon the land many times.
Reports started coming in of strange, foul creatures lumbering along the docks of Sable. Soon they were wandering the cities. These foul beasts were relentless for a time, but were eventually put down by the mighty adventurers of the land.

King Borgia healed the land numerous times, and rewarded everyone online with a special boon: anyone whose player level was lower than their guild level had their player level raised to be equal to their guild level.

Every competitor received a participation prize of 1 orb and 1 TC per point earned.

Rosuav, Redava, and Telven tied for second place. They each received a spool of Thread of Durability, an imperfect bloodjewel, and a lapis lazuli gemstone.

Nephrys, who was moved to the last place team after round 1, and never had anyone on her team that had placed better than 4th (out of 5 teams) without her, won every round! For her victory she received the right to bear the title of "Arcanus Champion", as well as a suit of Dragonskin Leather of Evasion that was tempered and deeply enchanted.
