After 12 years in creation, on Wednesday, February 4th, New Worlds closed and officially changed to New Worlds Ateraan completely resetting the game and deleting all of the player files in their entirety.

History: The game has gone through 6 years of pre-alpha, 2 years in alpha, and 4 years in beta and pseudo beta. The staff and administration finally felt it was time for a new start and after hundreds of modifications and upgrades now is that time.

While shocking to the playerbase, the bulk of the players are hard core roleplayers and understand the reasons and desires to have a fresh start while keeping the basic history of the game based on the book found on the website, the history of all players and backgrounds were reset.

Understandably this set in motion hundreds of players restarting at once making it a difficult task for the staff and management to handle the influx of players therefore the southland is held in reserve for a few weeks to keep order in the creation process.

What this means for you: GROUND ZERO! You get to start out on equal footing with every player in the game regardless of their previous time in game. You can grow or gain political power based solely on your dedication and roleplay without fear that perhaps others have had years of play time ahead of you. If you ever wanted to try New Worlds, NOW is the time.

What will this cost you? NOTHING! New Worlds has no costs associated. No registration, no donations, no website purchases, no advertisements. Why? The only part that has been tough is for the Staff members as the massive number of players that joined the game to usher in the restart has been astounding.

Friends and Gamers. It has been one helluvan exciting month as New Worlds Ateraan player wiped the entire game and started at Ground Zero.

As over 250 players restarted and started new, we are now set for the 2nd phase of this intensive reset. Now is the time to log on for the Wednesday Night Meeting. This meeting will be a secret discussion of what is next. It is an opportune time for anyone new to NWA to log on and set the stage for your own place in our world.

Unlike the player wipe where we had a huge venue in the Theater and you were automatically brought there, this meeting does not include valet parking. So get there early for the good seats. You'd be crazy not to sign up again. It's only been barely a year and players restart all the time giving you a perfect position to be a great or near great. A great if you have really good roleplay.

As for another playerwipe. Not bloody likely, unless the staff wants the playerbase to completely go ballistic on them!

Actually, you've probably noticed there have been several events going on mostly hosted by the Merchants Guild with the main title being called "the Great Migration". I think over 50 players were involved in that as well as other events. Come this day there will be grand event but I can't give out the secrets. The important thing is to log on and be part of this incredible world along with 100's of your friends!
