[Threshold]

1) Guild Contest: There will be a contest that puts all the guilds in competition with each other. This contest will measure a combination of activity along with donations of elemental stones, resources, and coin. This event will start in mid-March and end April 25th.

2) Keliburn the Traveler: Kleiburn will visit at the end of April. Kleiburn will visit the home city of whichever guild wins the guild contest.

3) April will be an Event Extravengana. The STEA will be hosting at least 15 events during the month of April. Make sure to watch the calendar (http://www.thresholdrpg.com/calendar/) and check it often. King Borgia and Emperor of Thrace will contribute prizes of their own to the STEA coffers which should make things very interesting and exciting.

4) History Contest: The Grand Sable Library wants to expand its history section. Adventurers are invited to submit detailed accounts and analyses of major historical events from the past 200 years. Ability to draw similarities to historical events and modern events is a plus, or the ability to show how society learned from and moved beyond past events. Minimum 1,000 words, Maximum 10,000. (Submissions should be sent via email to threshold@thresholdrpg.com and are due by April 30, 2010. Use the subject THRESHOLD HISTORY CONTEST.)

I was going through our event calendar and noticed we haven't had a DOUBLE XP Weekend in over a year! It is time to remedy that.

1) DOUBLE XP Teaser: Simple double xp for about 28 hours.

Begins: Friday, March 19, 2010 at approximately 11:59 pm EDT.
Ends: Sunday, March 21, 2010 at approximately 4:00 am EDT.

Basically, the event starts late Friday night, continues all day and night Saturday, and ends early on Sunday morning (for some of you, Saturday night).

2) DOUBLE XP WEEKEND: Double XP all weekend, with some additional special things we will throw in as a surprise.

Begins: Friday, March 26, 2010 at approximately 12:00 pm EDT.
Ends: Sunday, March 28, 2010 at approximately 11:59 pm EDT.

Plan some time off work, pack the kids off to the grandparents, and get online and have some fun. If these are like past double xp weekends, there also tends to be a lot of roleplaying due to the fact that so many people tend to be online. So there is generally something fun for everyone.

Tonight's events have spurred some very interesting RP. The next few days/weeks should be very interesting. It is definitely a good time to get involved even if you haven't been playing in a while.

Depending on what happens, there could be some pretty significant shake ups in the leadership structure of Threshold. Now is a great time to make that push you always wanted to take over an organization, or help someone else take over.

Guildmasters, High Priests, and more are all potentially in flux.
