This is a discussion on "libevent" in the Top Mud Sites MUD Coding forum : Has anyone looked at libevent with the idea of using it to replace the event loop in their MUD? I'm curious if anyone has tried it or has ideas on implementation.... |

If you checked the performance monitor, it showed increases in performance at around 100 connections, it looked like to me. If you had an average of 250 connections, with a maximum of like 475, do you think it would be useful for that? Keeping in mind that a lot of connections may not actually be players, or if you got spammed, etc.
