This is a discussion on "You remove an object and BOOM!" in the Top Mud Sites MUD Coding forum : Ok, I downloaded a stock rom called Smud (Rom 24b6), I wanted it becuase it has OLC2. Now I've added some things, copyover, multi boards, that took a while in it self, but i have a problem. When I try and remove an object the mud suddenly crashes, this also happens when lets say I wield a new sword in place of another, it won't remove the first sword, it just disconnects. Anyone know anything that could help me out here? If you need more info just post for it and I'll give it. I'm also ... |

I'm also getting a fread cahr no match bug in the log, but I think I can do that, please post a fix for that too....I believe thats from the copyover or multi board system, if you think it could be causing the crash also, please let me know. It comes up under segmentation fault on crash in the shell. Casper |

Okay, i know the base your using, as i too have downloaded it..
Now, you may want to gdb the core.. ie goto ur area dir an type gdb -c core ../src/rom that should take you into it. then type bt it'll list everything up to the crash that may of caused it.. Look into it.. Now as for the bug, i've had that bug myself, but i can't remember what exactly caused it.. So |
