Opening Browser Windows
Is it possible to have a MUD launch a browser window and go to a specific address, without the user needing to click on an address? For example, is there a way for the telnet/MUD client to send a specific message telling the PC to do so? (Although I realize there's a serious security / malignancy issue associated with this.)

If you have control over the client, then that's trivial. But since you're asking, my guess is you don't? |

Re: Opening Browser Windows
There are several clients that can open a browser window, but it's usually done by clicking on a hyperlink. What you're talking about are automatic pop-ups, right? Eg, when you connect to the mud it automatically opens one or more browser windows?
You could do that in Mudlet using the autoinstaller, but it would be pretty annoying, and I wouldn't be surprised if your players just switched to another client. What exactly are you trying to do? |
