This is a discussion on "Looking for feedback on new site layout" in the Top Mud Sites MUD and RPG Webmasters forum : I have made a new layout for my site and I'm looking for some feedback on it's design. In particular, problems that may appear with the use of different browsers, I have tested it in IE and NS and everything seems ok with the exception of seemingly not being able to change the cursor style in NS. The cursor over the menu links should be a hand like it is in IE, but I can't work out how to make it happen, some advice there would be great. At the moment this is a single page for ... |

At the moment this is a single page for layout testing, all the links go back to the same page. The banner at the top of the page will change in a rotation when the page is finished, I put a static one there for now just to see how it will look. To see the new layout, go to http://www.mudmall.com/new_index.html. To see the original layout, go to http://www.mudmall.com/index.php. Any comments good or bad are appreciated. |

First thoughts: The new layout is easier to read, easier to get an overview of, less cluttered and generally just seems to work better.
