There are also a few other good options.  Find one you like and use it.  All are pretty simple to install and admin.

Or you can use Invisionboard like Orion Elder mentioned.

IkonBoard and InvisionBoard are more or less the same. There are SOME differences, but overall usage is VERY similar. The main difference is that IkonBoard is Perl and InvisionBoard is PHP.

If you like Perl better you'll more than likely want IkonBoard. If you like PHP better, you'll more than likely want InvisionBoard (out of those two choices, anyway).

As for PHPbb I've seen it mentioned, but never tried it so I can't really give any opinions on that.

Also, InvisionBoard requires access to a MySQL database. IkonBoard can use flat files OR a MySQL database, though my personal tastes still point to InvisionBoard.

PHPbb is my recommendation. It also requires a mySQL database server.
