BloodShed - MUD Description | |
BSMuD.com, a new style of MuD. Unlike our competitors that are experience based, we believe that killing a mob should not be a challenge, in fact there is no real challenge at BSMuD apart from Player Killing (PK). Skills are not gained through leveling, instead we have skill trees, what it is meant by this is that you don't need to level in order to gain the next skill, instead you build a skill up to obtain the next skill, making it a skill-tree format. There are four main trees, These are the thief, warrior, mage and cleric tree. There is no limit to a character so they can get as many or as few skills from each or all trees as they like, so long as they are willing to spend the time and effort to gain the skills, a player has the ability to gain in excess of 400 skills. Since the only challenge we made is PK we had to accommodated for new and older players alike. Players join a clan upon creation, and it is encouraged by the immortals for clans to work together, help newbies (new players) and fight in groups, a form of safety in numbers, specially since there are no safe rooms, and every player is game. Other differences are seen by the limited equipment playes will find, there are no quest equipment, and there are no super equipment that will make any given player a form of demigod, for one to succeed in BSMuD, he must learn the art of battle, and fight with caution and cunning. |
