| A Dark Portal's New World is the working title (soon to be replaced) for an impressively-altered ROM-based MUD that has spent the last year and a half undergoing massive redesigning for roleplay and an enjoyable challenge unseen in most MUDs of the same codebase. It is levelless and classless, with a tiered skill system fit into a 38-Guild system (also tiered), featuring hundreds of new skills and spells, detailed armour-creation, livestock and crop-growing code, and far more. We're not open for play, but welcome builders - our code is nearly ready to be used, but the all-original two-continent map needs much work, and for this, we need literate, dedicated builders up to the task! What's in it for you? Well, if you make it through our 5-vnum test, you get creative control over a little section of our world, with an OLC modified to be both simple to use and powerful, with dozens of features not seen anywhere else. Permanent positions are available to those who are willing to work hard and roleplay, and we guarantee, we're not going anywhere - this MUD's been up for years, and isn't being shut down any time soon! |
