Shadows of an Age - MUD Description
Shadows of an Age is a mud based around the popular Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. We believe in a balanced environment for both role playing as well as leveling. We have also created an arena for pkill so that we maintain a truly open environment for all of our players.

Now, as to why we created this mud and our goals. After several years on other muds, we got together and began comparing ideas and thoughts. We felt that in the past there had been a distinct lack of a mud for the players (that is, it seemed that things generally degenerated until the mud was based around the immortals there as opposed to what the players wanted).

Thus, we have endeavored to create a mud embodying the ideals we felt that other muds lacked. We hope that we have created a true player's mud where the immortals are simply other people who have a few extra commands so that they can enhance role playing and allow us to run some huge events (for instance, the battle in Falme where the Seanchan are finally driven back) for role playing purposes.

Naive of us? Probably, but you have to try sometime. The only real way to see if we have managed to is to play, ask questions, and make suggestions, so we hope to see you there and feel free to bug any of us with questions, ideas, or complaints! And if this just isn't your type of place, we wish you the best of luck in your search.
