Star Wars: K'tor Nebula MUSH - MUD Description
Star Wars: K'tor Nebula is a d20 based (slightly altered mechanics) Star Wars Roleplaying Game. K'tor Nebula focuses on a small area of space centered around 5 star systems in the outer rim, but does include planets from other parts of the Star Wars galaxy. Roleplay wise the MUSH is designed around small group roleplay and player run plots. Technical wise the game is coded around automatic operation of systems and reduced player dependency on staff. With these two concepts merged together the environment is set to allow players to run their own roleplay scenes at their own pace and whim without needing staff involvement. There are two core things that make K'tor Nebula stand out amongst it's peers. First of all anyone can become a force user on K'tor Nebula. The force system is self balancing. If dark side users twink out and use their dark side powers to much the code will cause them to become consumed by the dark side of the force and correct the problem. If light side users twink out and break from the theme by not hiding and keeping a low profile the Empire will eventually become aware of them and hunt them down. So with a self balancing system in place, anyone can have a shot at becoming a force user, there is no need for applications or vetting of players. The second thing that makes K'tor Nebula stand out is that anyone can have a ship. Space travel is a fundamental part of the Star Wars universe, so it makes sense that every player should have a shot at getting a ship and being able to fly around. There are several civilian model ship types available. The biggest benefit of this is that all players can move around to follow the roleplay as it changes location.
