| The Burning Post II is an level-less, class-less online role-playing game set on the war-torn island of New Yarsith during a time period similar to the late middle ages. The game's story is complex, but in a nutshell it revolves around mages and the Inquisitors of the Holy Order of King Dav that hunt them. Also race relations between the Order's 'favorite' people, the Lithmorrans, and the Vavardi with whom they were recently at war. Popular character concepts include clergy, knights, mercenaries, merchants, slaves, thieves, and of course... mages! An RP-enforced MUD (we do have public channels), experience in the Burning Post II is earned solely through role-play, and not the killing of mobiles. Your characters actions are entirely IC, death is permanent, and acting the wrong way can and often does get you killed. As we're new, our player base is fairly small, which means there are plenty of higher-level positions available. Applications are only necessary for characters starting off in a guild, but a staff member or citizen will happily help you come up with a character concept that you'll enjoy playing.
