| The Mysts of Turmoil - MUD Description | |
| The old guardian sighed among the tombs of elves. How much more of the hallowed ground would fill until it burst? The dead leaves fluttered at his feet, as the wind sighed, or wept. Before the ancient eyes, his vision of time came and in a silent breath he muttered, "Will it last?" Heroes and adventurers abounded, kingdoms rose and fell constantly, monsters ranged and prospered in even greater numbers. The Orcs were a constant threat. A new race half man, half vultures called the Buzzardoes emerged from the Labs of Abroch. The first major war between Men and Giants occurred at this time and the kingdom of Howed barely survived a war with the Cult of Jergal Zadh. In Undwherr, plagues sent by a demon named Zupazu for a wrong done to him were devastating. In other countries, demons and the Arch devils had a good-sized following. But, much was good. Universities of magic were common and the wisdom of the gods was spread by a multitude of priests. Civilization was at an all time high. For the most part, peace was reigning over most of the continent. Would it last? |
