| When Frodo destroyed the One Ring, Shadow fell, Sauron and his darkness were no more, and all lived happily for about 200 years. Until.... RETURN OF THE SHADOW is a dedicated Tolkien MUD. Action takes place in the fourth age (read our background story for more information). We have many unique spells/skills, an original Tolkien world, many classes, including an option to make your own class, races you would expect to find on Arda, restricted player killing (race war), a more realistic fighting/spell/skill system. Roleplaying is highly encouraged. We are open for all players, however we are still testing, so please report any bugs you find. It is also not hard to become a builder. We also have friendly imps.
