| Years have passed since Buffy defeated the First and Angel's last battle against Wolfram and Hart. Evil still exists. In the city of New Orleans, evil is shrouded in the joyous cloak of Mardi Gras, the dark rituals of left-handed Vodun, and the respectable face of organized crime. New Orleans is a city of secrets and those that discover the truth will be changed forever. Mystik Krewe is a MUX set in the Buffyverse created by Joss Whedon and explored in 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Angel'. Set in modern day New Orleans, the game draws heavily on the folklore, cultural heritage, and history of the city for both ambience and plot. News files details the language, culture, history, and even music of the region to help players understand the setting. The game follows a seasonal format with episodes taking place in multiple scenes over the span of a few weeks. In addition to the main plot there will be plenty of room for smaller side plots designed for individuals and teams and player run plots are encouraged. Mystik Krewe uses the UniSystem rules as presented in the 'Buffy the Vampires Slayer' and 'Angel' RPGs. Access to the books is recommended but not required for play. |
